How to Maximise the Benefits of Your Child Care Software

March 18, 2019 by Reporter Leave a Comment

If you’re thinking about implementing child care software for your child care centre, or if it’s already being used, it’s important that you use it to its full potential. At the beginning, you may be excited to implement it, but after a couple of months pass, you may find that you’re not getting the most out of it. It’s important to thoroughly understand all the features that are available to you, including a personalised dashboard, business reporting, online enrolments and payments, learning observations, and rosters and schedules. By utilising these features, you can make sure you’re maximising the benefits of your child care software.

Read on to find out three tips to help you use your child care software in the best way possible.

childcare australia

Train Your Staff

Your child care staff will use the software every day, so it’s essential that they’re properly trained in using it. Having staff up to speed on how to best use your child care software is important for the success of its implementation. To train your staff, get them together and show them all the features available to them. It’s also vital to encourage staff to use every opportunity to make a journal entry about what a child learns or how they’ve displayed growth.

This helps showcase the benefits of your child care software to parents and also records a child’s development to ensure they’re on track.

Share with Parents

Another way of maximising the benefits of your child care software is through sharing information with parents, enabling staff to connect with them in a fast and efficient way. Professional child care software allows your staff to easily communicate with a child’s parents throughout the day. For example, staff can snap a photo during an art lesson and tag a child so their parents will be able to immediately view it. This builds a good relationship between staff and parents, leaving parents feeling highly satisfied with the level of care that’s being provided.

This makes them more likely to keep their child at your centre and even recommend it to their family and friends.

Consult with Your Child Care Software Company

If you’re unsure about how to maximise the benefits of your child care software, it’s best to consult with your child care software company. There should be an online help desk and unlimited phone call support, so no matter the issue, your child software company should be able to assist you. They’ll have the knowledge and tools to help you with whatever you need, regardless of whether a problem is big or small.

They may even be able to show you other parts of your child care software that you didn’t know existed, and you can discuss anything from online payment and BPAY through to rosters and schedules.

Even if you feel like you’re using your child care software to its full potential, it may be time to contact your software company to review your setup and ensure there are no updates available.

Why are Keywords still relevant in 2019?

February 24, 2019 by Reporter Leave a Comment

Talk about SEO and ‘keywords’ is something that everyone would speak of..

Since the beginning of the world (okay, SEO world), keywords have played important roles in both off page and on page SEO. It’s just been lately that arguments about their relevance have started to crop up.

So, what’s the deal? Do they matter? Or do they not? And if they do, how do they? And how much?

Well, if any or all of those questions have brought you here, rest assured, we got your back.

Why keywords matter in 2019? And do they even?

Well, I don’t know how the case study went, but the quote gave us something precious.

Keyword stuffing. While it might come off as appealing to some (I don’t know how that’s happening), turns out, it’s a big turn off for both users and search engines.

While there used to be times when it could skyrocket both traffic and revenue, now it sucks big time. Reason? Search engines are smarter now. They aim at delivering qualified search results to their users.

And our best bet with that? Play along. Deliver qualified content to be a part of those qualified search results. Something, that can never be achieved with keyword stuffing.

Okay, so enough about stuffing. How else do keywords affect SEO and marketing overall now?

1. Still important for search rankings

Just because keyword stuffing is prohibidado doesn’t mean keywords are out of fashion. They still affect your website’s SEO.

The thing is that they tell the search engines about the contents of a web page.

Also, can you imagine creating a piece of content without using any keywords at all? Well, that’s almost impossible.

You create content about a topic and you add keywords even when you are just talking about it. This also means that you need to be careful and not stuff.

Use of the right keywords in web content makes crawling easy for search engines. This directly affects your website’s rankings.

2. Keywords are clues

Every keyword that you ever came across was, is and will always be a clue.

While every marketer keeps boasting about the importance of understanding your audience and their needs, keyword research actually gets you there.

While keywords like ‘Nokia 6.1 Plus Reviews’ and ‘Nokia 6.1 Plus specifications’ might show some similar search results, turns out they are different from each other.

Somebody using the term ‘reviews’ might be near the end of the sales funnel, while the user looking for specifications might just have started the journey as a potential buyer.

Both these keywords tell about two audience segments that you might want to entertain.

3. Fuel to PPC campaigns

Another brick in the wall. Keywords affect PPC campaigns.

Just as you’d consider keywords while writing a piece of content, you’d have to pick the right keywords even when you are planning a PPC campaign.

As mentioned in the sections above, keywords are important both for readers and search engines. The third arena here is of paid advertising.

You’d target your campaign depending on the buyer intent and keywords referring to the same.

And if you are facing problems with that, SEO Consultants Sydney will ease it for you. The point is, you should ensure the right use of keywords.

Final words

While the right usage and usability of keywords might give rise to a few arguments, the bottom line stays as it was. Keywords continue to be important.

While keywords alone can’t lift up a piece of content, a good piece of content too can’t perform without keywords. Be it for SEO or for PPC, without keywords you can’t excel. .

With this article, I tried to discuss why keywords are still relevant in 2019.

Hopefully, this post helped you.

Still think, it’s arguable? Get your friends and find out what they think? We’d love to hear the conclusion.

Opening a Physiotherapy Practice – Where to Start

February 24, 2019 by Reporter Leave a Comment

The need for physiotherapy is only expected to increase with contemporary demographic changes. As such, opening your own practice has potentially never been more opportune or potentially lucrative. However, knowing where to begin the process of taking such a leap can be difficult and it’s important to take some time to understand exactly what is involved in opening your own physiotherapy practice.

Starting from scratch opening a physiotherapy practice can be difficult. There are many points to check off that it can quickly become an overwhelming task. However, with the right guidance, support, determination and patience, you can make your dream a reality. With every stage of the process, you need to do what you can to ensure that things go smoothly.

Let’s take a look a closer look at some of the key elements of opening a physiotherapy practice, from building plans to practice management software and everything in between.

Read on to learn more!

Some First Steps

To open your own practice, it is important to understand the requisite legal specifications you must check off before you open. Understand what the industry standards are. This includes officially registering as a physiotherapist which must be done with an application to the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. This organization requires both an initial and annual registration fee.

In addition, you must apply for a Medicare Provider number and (often) also apply for registration with the Australian Physiotherapist Association.

If you will require financing, it is useful to write a proper business plan. This should incorporate your knowledge of the physiotherapy market as well as details regarding projections for your own practice.

Structuring Your Practice

In terms of the organisation of your practice as a business, it is useful to think about how you will structure it. Usually, following a company structure is most sensible. This will establish your practice as a distinct legal entity. This can reduce your personal liability in case of potential accidents. Choosing your structure will also depend on whether you are opening the practice as a sole individual or whether you are entering into a partnership with other physiotherapists.

In any case, it is also vital to register your business in Australia to get it legally up and running. You will need to acquire an Australian Business Number and a Tax File Number to ensure that your practice is in good stead with the government.

Laying The Foundations

Unless you own some real-estate which can serve as the physical location of your practice, you will likely be renting or leasing a space. In any case, choosing a prime location is paramount. If you do choose to lease, know the rights and obligations of your retail or commercial lease. It is critical that you make sure you know what you can use the space for and whether you will have the option to extend the lease. Procuring equipment for your practice can easily be done online.

Once your location is set, it is important to hire a team of employees that can serve you well. Depending on the specifics of your practice plans, you may be hiring additional physiotherapists or staff to assist with administrative tasks. Vet candidates on how well they can fit in with the work culture of your practice. Be sure to follow existing hiring laws and make sure to set up the proper tax filing information for each new employee.

Setting up medical practice management software can also streamline the day-to-day operations in your practice. These programs can be used to help integrate electronic medical records with operational administrative and financial matters (appointment scheduling and insurance claims, for example). They can also provide performance indicators to let you know how efficiently your practice is operating.

Grand Opening

Taking the time to fully understand how to open your new physiotherapy practice is the first step in getting your new business up and running. Owning and operating your own business is a huge commitment but when managed correctly, it can be a very rewarding and satisfying experience. With the right preparation, you will be on course to a successful future from the very beginning and will be able to establish your new physiotherapy practice in your local community in no time at all.

7 Steps for Starting a Non-Profit in Australia

February 7, 2019 by Reporter Leave a Comment

Do you want to start your own non-profit? Do you have a specific cause that you want to teach the community about? Here are some things you should consider before beginning your journey. The following tips will help you avoid making any potential mistakes and get your organisation off and running.

Determine the Need

Your sole reason to start a non-profit isn’t because you want to feel better about yourself. That’s never a good reason to start one. Determine your need for a starting a non-profit. Make sure you’re filling a need in the sector or you’ll be up against competitors that deliver a need to a certain community or group.

Do a simple Google search for other non-profits like yours in Australia. Or, you check out the website Pro Bono Australia to find out what other charities are doing in your area. This can help you determine a need and find out what you can do better than them. You should figure out if there’s already an organisation that’s doing what you’ve been wanting to do.

Engage With the Community

if you’re going to start a non-profit, you’re going to have to engage with your community. That means getting yourself out there in the public eye. Most organisations and non-profits work directly with the communities they serve. Make sure that your team members are involved with your organisation before getting involved with your community. Your non-profit could quickly fail if no one puts effort in it.

Create a Strategic Plan

The next thing you should do is come up with a strategic plan. These plans help you find out what these organisations exist and what goal they’re trying to achieve. Creating a strong strategic plan can help your organisation stay on track in its first years of operation. Your business plan should include your goals, mission statement, objectives, and vision that can help you meet these goals.

If you never created a strategic plan before, reach out to a business colleague to help you through the process. Even Pro Bono Australia has a website called Volunteer Match that connects people with non-profit who are looking for specific services.

Don’t Get Founders Syndrome

When you start your non-profit, you don’t want to get founders syndrome. This happens to a lot of founders of non-profits, organisations, and startups. Some common symptoms of founders syndrome include hiring your friends and colleagues to work for you. The identity of your non-profit becomes your sole personality. You may also prevent others who want to be involved with your non-profit. In other words: don’t let your organisation go to your head and only hire people who are qualified to perform the job.

Protect Yourself Legally

If your non-profit delivers services or goods to your community, you want to make sure that your organisation has insurance and is incorporated. You should also receive a deductible gift recipient (DGR) before you receive donations, grants, or other types of funding. Donation software can help you determine your donation goals, accept monthly donations on your website. You can accept donations via Apple Pay, ACH bank transfer, credit cards, and PayPal.

Assign Team Members

You want to hire a group of people who are diverse, talented, and committed to your cause. They should be interested in helping you reach your goal. Some founders want to do everything themselves while others want to hire their friends and family members. You can’t do everything yourself and it’s something dangerous to work with those closest to you.

Before you start your non-profit, you should have an administrative and financial department. These group of individuals should help you with the accounting, budgeting, and adopting a code of conduct for how you operate as an organisation. It’s important to establish policies and procedures and ensure that everyone follows them.

Set Yourself Up for Failure

Starting a non-profit can be a complicated process if you don’t go through all of the steps. Many organisations don’t last after a few years of operation. Come up with an exit strategy for yourself and the stakeholders who work with you. Plan for failure even if it doesn’t happen right away.

Remember to make the most with what you have. You can use your voice to bring awareness to a specific cause. It can be made possible as long as you take the right steps to start your non-profit organisation. The Internet has plenty of resources that can help you out. Whether it’s creating an online presence or writing content, there’s a resource for everything.

What is the Role of Digital Marketing, especially in SEO?

January 31, 2019 by Reporter Leave a Comment

digital marketing in 2019 article2

In the modern world, we are connected to information, products, and services anywhere, anytime. The internet, social media, and the widespread use of mobile devices play a key part in this. It’s also easier than ever for customers to give feedback.

Here are some of our top reasons why SEO, thanks to these changing technologies, has become so important…

1. Audience

According to SEO Shark, the SEO Sydney agency, it’s so much easier to reach a target audience and connect with them. Websites, emails, and social media make it possible to send content viral and reach people incredibly quickly.

2. Feedback and interaction

We’re no longer in an era of read-only content. There are more functions than ever that allow people to respond to the stuff they see – such as reviews, social media shares, blogs and vlogs about products and services.

Seeing others saying something about your brand, particularly in a positive light, increases our sense of how trustworthy and credible it is.

The interaction is a two-way street. Businesses can encourage the audience to get sharing and get talking by offering an incentive. Ask them to rate your service.

3. Cost

SEO in Digital marketing appears to be considerably more cost efficient than traditional marketing.

Traditional forms, whether it’s radio, print, or television, can really add up expenses. Although digital marketing does involve some costs such as paid online ads, it’s still cheaper overall.

If we take traditional marketing for example, to reach 2000 people you may need to exhaust the means of mail, tv/radio, and newspaper/magazines. These can all be worth hundreds of dollars each.

SEO on the other hand, may spend an estimate of $50 on paid search engine ads, and $70 for paid social network ads.

4. A capitol of genuine interest

While there are some paid online marketing measures, there is a large focus in SEO and other digital marketing forms on organic traffic. That is, having people arrive at the site naturally, through their own genuine curiosity.

This often achieved by publishing genuinely interesting and educational content. It’s now a fact that the mere sales pitch is quite unfulfilling to viewers, and in order to build rapport with prospective customers, a brand must first develop content that has…

(1) Good readability on any device – optimization must cover desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.

(2) Quality, informational content that answers questions that users are querying on search engines.

6. Easy to research and monitor

With online features like Google Analytics, and activity tracking tools on social media, it’s also easier than ever to do your market research. Not only does it make data collection a hell of a lot easier, but you can follow traffic in real-time and not waste weeks to see how responsive views and purchases are to changes you make.

7. Appealing to mobile consumption

As mentioned above, good content and relations with consumers entails realising that most of us access the internet on a mobile device. There’s no denying that use of smartphone and the like are exponentially growing.

They’re already such a huge part of our lives, as we search for information, products and services on the go – and it would downright suck if the page doesn’t load or the dimensions make it impossible to read. These technical aspects are highly important to everyone – viewers, search engines and marketing agencies alike.

No doubt that marketing is one of the most important parts of any business. Building awareness, credibility and like-ability for your brand is half the battle, if not more. It’s wonderful that the technologies of the modern world are making this easier than ever before.

The Ultimate Vape Cloud Guide

January 31, 2019 by Reporter Leave a Comment

vaping for quitting article1

If you are in the vaping scene you may have wondered how some vapers get their clouds so big. There are a group of people who go by the collective of cloud chasers which essentially means that they build and modify their vape set ups to create those massive plumes that you see on the street, however, not everywhere you can vape. Many people also refer to the act as extreme vaping or stunt vaping.

The cloud chasing fad stemmed from the original vaping trend where people would start to figure out all the cool things that they can do with their clouds. It now has a massive cult following with many social media accounts dedicated to the craze. To help you fully understand cloud chasing we have put together a short little guide.

Where it came from

According to E-cigarette Club an e-cigarette shop – there are mixed reports of the origin of cloud chasing but many people claim that it originated off the west coast of America. A lot of people who are new to the vaping scene use cloud chasing as their entry point to help them become more acquainted. Not all vapers are fans of the cloud craze though. There is a distinctive split amongst the community of those who believe it is a legitimate representation of the culture and those who believe it gives the rest of them a bad name.

It is now a sport

What started off as a recreational hobby has turned into a competitive scene. Across the globe there are many competitions where vapers can show off their skills and produce the thickest clouds. These competitions also offer the winners thousands of dollars in cash to further promote the activity as a sport. This scene can be thought of as a subculture within a subculture that is starting to gain a lot of traction thanks to social media.

How you can get started

There are 9 main factors that you should take into consideration before you start trying to blow the biggest clouds.

E-liquid

E-liquids or e-juice can in two main categories, those with PG and the other with VG. VG produces more vapour which makes it a dominant product. Additionally cloud chasers don’t usually use nicotine in their vapours as it can leave you short of breath quicker than an e-juice without it.

Battery

Batteries and their safety are of the highest concern. Be sure to use trusted and safe products and don’t be afraid to ask other vapers or even the people who you are buying the products from.

Atomizer

Sub-ohm tanks are starting to become the preferred choice when it comes to cloud chasing. However as the products aren’t perfect yet, many people still tend to go with a RDA model with airflow control.

Airflow

The key to the best clouds is the right combination of airflow and resistance. Less resistance means more airflow but if it gets to thin you vapour will disperse and won’t produce as much.

Wicking

Using the right material for your wicking it vital when letting air and your e-juice flow to the coils in an efficient manner.

Coil Build

There are many different coil builds that affect how your vapour is produced. Generally speaking people tend to go for a low resistance build to maximise the amount of vapour produced.

Modifications

Modifications are a big part of the competitive scene. Mech mods are common as they offer a lot of power to your device.

Technique

Techniques and practice play a big part in all tricks. You need to perfect every aspect including inhaling and exhaling techniques as well as having the right body posture.

Lung capacity

At the end of the day some people are just born with a higher lung capacity than others. This plays a big part in how much you can inhale and exhale.

A Guide To Faster Internet Speeds

January 29, 2019 by Reporter Leave a Comment

fast speed internet 2019

Slow internet speeds can be frustrating. There has been an upsurge of media-content and websites and it is no coincidence a lot of people are experiencing slower speeds than usual. It takes a lot more time to load content than it did just a few years ago. While the problem could be your ISP, there are some controllable components that could be making your internet slower.

Types of Broadband

There numerous kinds of broadband connections. As an internet user, you should be aware of the broadband you’re using as the speed and bandwidth differ from one provider to another. The easiest way of knowing the type of broadband connection is by contacting your ISP.

Satellite: Just as the name suggests, data is beamed to a satellite in outer space and then bounced back to your ISP. The set up requires a transmitter and a satellite dish which is provided by the ISP. Speeds are usually slow because of the long distance that data has to travel. There is also the issue of weather interference which messes up the signal.

Cable: This connection goes through the coaxial cable. This is the typical line that brings shows to your TV. The networks are usually shared and the speeds will fluctuate depending on the number of users on the network. It is not strange for a household in the rural area to experience faster internet speeds compared to one in the city.

Optical Fiber: Optical is seen as a precursor of internet connectivity in the future. With Fiber Optics, data is transmitted through pulses of light through dedicated fiber lines. There are vendors who currently offer up to 1000 Mbps speeds which one wouldn’t have thought possible a couple of years ago.

Having known the different types of broadband connectivity, the next question would be how to make your internet faster with the controllable variables in play.

Router Placement

Ideally, the router should be placed in a central location. The router is the getaway between the home connection and your ISP and the location it is placed will play a big role in ensuring high internets. The router should be located where most of the connected devices are found. The router should be placed in an elevated position where there are no obstacles.

Restart Regularly

The Router should be restarted regularly for it to function at its optimum. While it might work throughout, sometimes the slow internet speeds can be solved by simply restarting the router. The process is known as power cycling and is meant to help the router in clearing the redundant data that has accumulated. The restarting will also enable the router to choose the less crowded channel thus improving the speeds.

Content Consumption

Most homes nowadays rely on the internet for content. The internet is used for watching movies, stream live sports events, watching 4K videos, and gaming. There are times when all these processes could be running at the same time which could slow down the internet connectivity. You should monitor what is being consumed and ensure that not all the processes are running concurrently.

Increase Wi-Fi Range

Sometimes the problem could be limited to the Wi-Fi range. This applies to big houses where there is a single access point and you lose the signal when you go upstairs. There are some DIY techniques like using tinfoil although it might not be very effective. An effective solution would be to add more access points in the home.

A foolproof way of extending the network is using a wireless mesh network system. It is a one-time set up that will go a long way in ensuring that every part of the home has internet access. The whole system can be controlled with an app.

Switch Broadband

If the internet is still slow, chances are high that the problem could be your ISP. It could be time to start comparing new NBN plans. You should make sure to check if the ISP is providing what you paid for. You can also look online if there are other people who are complaining about the services. A good ISP provider should provide high-speed internet and offer technical support in case of low speeds.

5 ways small businesses can encourage healthier eating at work

January 29, 2019 by Reporter Leave a Comment

pexels-photo-573562

Maintaining a balanced diet and lifestyle can be really difficult, particularly if you’re working full-time or are managing a business. Whilst it is not strictly your responsibility to ensure that your employees eat in a healthy manner, it is in your best interest to encourage healthy eating and diets in the workplace, as this can have many positive effects on your business’ productivity. Indeed, there are many convenient and tasty recipes like HelloFresh, which you can use to ensure your employees actually look forward to meal time at work.

So, what should be your plan of attack when encouraging healthy eating in the workplace?

Increase health knowledge

One of the first things you need to do as a manager is help improve the health knowledge of your staff and workers. Building this knowledge could come in the form of scheduling seminars on quick and easy recipes that are healthy and affordable. Consider hiring a nutritionist to come in during the week and discuss healthy eating habits with your staff and colleagues. You could even call it a “lunch n learn” day. It is really important that you build clear communication with your employees and clarify any questions they may have regarding the program. Your program needs to be framed around a purpose and if your aim is to help your employees work at a more productive level you should let them know exactly that!

Build positive attitudes

Another key component of implementing an effective healthy eating program is to help build positive attitudes towards healthy eating. Encouraging dieting and nutritional consumption is one thing; embracing such eating habits is a whole different ball game. There will definitely be some members of staff who will resist such change, which is understandable. Some people are less inclined to eat healthy, while others may view it as an unnecessary cost, or something that just wastes time and resources.

Either way, you need to help build positivity around healthy eating. One of the best ways of achieving this is to share stories of people whose lives changed for the better after dieting – it could be simply losing weight and getting back in shape, or something more significant, like new job opportunities after the weight was lost.

Incentivise the programs

Put simply, there will always be a select few that will not get involved in the program. However, there may be a larger number of individuals who choose to not get involved because of the viability and perceived benefits of scheme. In this situation, you need to incentivise and reward employees who get involved. How? Well, if your business is working in affiliation with a healthy food outlet, develop a loyalty points scheme, so employees are rewarded for their purchases. This will have the effect of stimulating demand and encouraging workers to participate, even if they were a little hesitant at first! Overall, incentivising your workers is a central part of enhancing employee management and performance.

Having said this, not all businesses have the financial capacity to provide in-house food options. If so, provide your workers with a list of restaurants in the local area that offer balanced meals. Be sure to stock the vending machines with healthier food options and reward workers who choose the healthier alternatives!

Plan the program

Some businesses don’t offer healthy eating programs throughout the entire year. For example, many businesses will often offer such programs after the holiday seasons, since many employees might be deflated from some weight gain over the festive season. The program should include lunch meals that contain several servings of vegetables or fruit – you want to minimise the consumption of products containing high levels of sugar and/or salt. A high sugar diet has been linked to weight gain and increased prevalence of Type II diabetes. Reduce the amount of processed grains and try to select lean meats with less fat and added salts. When choosing your meat options, be sure to stick with fresh meat over processed meats, since processed meat and foods are often full of chemicals that undermine the nutritional value.

Does it actually work?

pexels-photo-1496137

For those that may still be a little sceptical, it is important to understand that there is a relationship between healthy eating and job satisfaction. Indeed, adhering to a balanced diet of protein, vegetables, fruit and healthy fats has been linked to improved job performance. A lot of this stems from that fact that eating healthy promotes better body image, staves off illness and reduces the likelihood of fatigue. In fact, this could go a long way in boosting someone’s leadership skills, so if you’re a manager or in a leadership position at your work, be sure to try and eat as healthy as possible throughout the working week.

Likewise, eating healthy at work can also help you improve your overall time management. Being able to schedule your meetings and tasks in an efficient manner goes a long way in building your leadership portfolio. It also helps enhance your reputation within the company – you’ll find your workers have greater respect for you and your objectives for the business!

Late payments are the bane of a business owner’s life. They limit cash flow and prevent you from paying your own bills. In the aftermath, suppliers feel disgruntled, your stock runs low, and perhaps you can’t pay your employees. Whatever the effects, it’s safe to say, they’re not pretty. Unfortunately, this is something that typical business insurance policies don’t cover.

So how do you deal with late paying customers and clients? We’re glad you asked because there are a few simple measures you can take to protect you and your business.

Discuss terms upfront

Before you provide a service or a product, make sure that your customer or client understands the payment terms. Some business clients assume that they have 30-days to make payment while others may even assume they have three months. Be sure to clearly outline how soon they must pay so they can budget accordingly.

Ask for 50% deposits

Some service providers ask that their clients make a deposit of up to 50% of the full payment before they carry out any work. This 50% should ensure that your own expenses are covered and allows you to pay your employees or suppliers on time. Not all clients or customers will agree to this, so again, be upfront and honest about your plans.

Make late payments fees part of your terms

Late payment fees are a great way to discourage clients from taking advantage of the line of credit you extended. Once this is clearly outlined in your original payment terms, then they can have no complaints when you charge them extra for being late. Ideally, you’ll never have to charge them as this is more of a deterrent than anything else.

Offer discounts for upfront payments

A 5% discount for full payment upfront is a nice benefit that many of your customers and clients will jump at. While you may make a bit less on the deal, the security of having that payment upfront is well worth the cost. Just ensure that the discount doesn’t mean you lose money on the deal. No need to be too generous!

Consider a short-term loan

If all of your measures to limit or prevent late payments have failed, then you may find yourself in a position where cash flow is low and paying your own bills or employees’ wages is a struggle. In this case, a short-term loan could be the solution. Even if your credit score has taken a beating due to matters outside your control, a short-term lender will still be able to help you. While it’s not an ideal scenario, it does provide you with a safety net of sorts should your clients fail to make payment on time.

Don’t offer credit

This is the toughest one of all but the most effective. If you set a policy that all services and products must be paid for upfront, then you’ll never have a problem with late payments. You may feel like this isn’t possible, but it’s your business, and you can set your own terms. If you are providing high-quality service that guarantees satisfaction, then your clients and customers won’t think twice about paying upfront.

Unfortunately, late payments are part and parcel of business life. Dealing with them could be the difference between staying afloat and shutting up shop. So take a moment to consider the tips outlined above before agreeing to providing a service without upfront payment.
