Plan of action in case of an accident

October 10, 2017 by Reporter Leave a Comment

No matter how much of a responsible driver a person is, road accidents are sometimes unavoidable. Road accidents, even minor ones, can be overwhelming to your mind, if not to your body. While being a vigilant and responsible driver is a great way to avoid accidents, it is better to be prepared.

Having a contingency plan for such emergencies will help you keep yourself and others safe. Knowing what you have to do will help you reduce your reaction time to the situation, and when it comes to road accidents, a few seconds can make all the difference. If you ever find yourself in an accident, take the following steps to ensure a safe outcome:

Do not panic

As mentioned earlier, accidents can be overwhelming. It is commonly noticed that people experience a range of emotions right after they have been in an accident. If you experience something similar, make sure you remain calm. Staying calm will help you assess and handle the situation better.

Some people tend to panic and flee from the scene of accident. This is not advisable at all. If you are ever in an accident, never leave the accident scene before it is appropriate to do so. Running away from the scene of accident can have serious legal implications.

Make sure everyone is safe

If it is not possible or safe to get out of the car, make sure you, and everyone else inside the car is properly buckled in. If possible, contact emergency services immediately.

On the other hand, even if the accident is minor, it is your responsibility to first make sure everyone involved in the accident is unharmed.

Contact emergency services

Once you have made sure everyone is safe, contact the emergency services. If nobody requires medical attention, contact law enforcement and your preferred towing company in Perth. If possible, make notes of what happened at the scene. This will help you better illustrate it to the police and to your insurance company.

Bonus tip: Choosing a towing company in advance is a great idea to save yourself from hassle in an already difficult situation. Moreover, doing so would give you time to research and find the most feasible option.

Exchange information

This is crucial. Once you have made sure the emergency services are on their way, start collecting names, numbers, addresses, license plate numbers and insurance information of all the drivers involved. To be on the safe side, exchange the same information with other passengers involved in the accident. Keep in mind that the accident scene is an intense environment for everyone, and try to be cordial and cooperative while exchanging information.

However, being cordial does not mean you need to unnecessarily apologise to anyone. Never ever, intentionally or unintentionally, apologise or accept any mistakes that you think you may have done. Accepting mistakes may later translate into accepting the legal liability of the accident. Moreover, it might create problems with your insurance provider.

Get a medical check-up done

Even if the accident is a minor one and there are no visible injuries or pain in your body, it is advisable to see a doctor. Sometimes, internal injuries remain ignored, and turn into serious problems later on. It is best to be safe and get a doctor’s opinion.

Conclusion

A little preparation goes a long way, especially in case of emergency situations like road accidents. Keeping calm and being able to handle these situations responsibly will ensure your safety, along with the safety of those you care.

Health Benefits of Fresh Meat Over Processed Meat

September 26, 2017 by Reporter Leave a Comment

clip_image002

Before we drill down into the benefits of a free range butchers grass fed meat & that which is processed, we need to go over the difference between fresh & processed food. What is the difference between the two? Fresh food provides nutrients for your body such as fibre, vitamins and minerals with low added sugar and fat. Processed food is at the other end being energy dense and high calorie providing energy with little value to your body.

Fresh, whole food would be considered, ideally, as a food with only one ingredient. Think fresh fruit, vegetables & grass fed meat like beef from an organic butchers. These foods will assist you in maintaining a healthy lifestyle by consuming all your recommended nutritional intake. A processed food is any food with more than one ingredient, and food companies typically add additional sugars, preservatives, dyes and “bad” fats such as saturated and trans fats. When it comes to meat processed includes things like chicken fingers, fish sticks, canned meat & deli products.

Read on to understand more about the benefits of eating fresh grass fed meat from a free range butchers as opposed to processed meat from the supermarkets frozen section.

Why Processed Meat is Bad for You?

Although not completely proven, it is believed that people who eat processed meat are generally on the unhealthy side of the spectrum. All the of the added chemicals & processing that strips of all the nutrients makes it harder for those people to get their recommended intake. The evidence that is there is convincing because the links are consistent across the board.

Studies in certain animals have also added credibility to this claim. For example, studies in rats have shown how consuming processed meat can increase the risk of bowel cancer. The clear takeaway is that processed meat contains harmful chemical compounds. Chemical compounds we would be better off not consuming.

Benefits of Fresh Meat

Grass fed meat, like that from a free range butcher are a great source of Omega-3 fatty acids. These are essential to a healthy heart and help with brain function. There is also evidence that these acids can slow the growth of a number of cancers.

The organic grass fed meat from free range animals are also a source of CLAs (conjugated linoleic acids). This is another critical nutrient for preventing, and even fighting cancer. In fact, grass fed meats and dairy products are shown to be 3-5 times higher in these acids than conventional meat and dairy.

Another plus is that grass fed meats contain a lot more Vitamin E. Vitamin E is a very important vitamin that helps with hormone regulation and supports heart, respiratory, brain, prostate and breast health.

Processed meat contains things that are not naturally present in fresh meat. Nasty chemicals, additives and preservatives. Many things that are harmful to health. For this reason, eating a lot of processed meat over fresh grass fed meat may increase the risk of chronic disease & cancer. Choose fresh meat and enjoy a healthier lifestyle.

At the end of the day, you should limit your intake of processed foods and base your diet on fresh whole foods. For all your grass fed meats head to a free range butchers like https://canningsfreerangebutchers.com.au/ & enjoy all the health benefits associated with organic butchers and their fresh food & grass fed meat.

Possible bearish reversal in silver as resistance cluster ahead

June 19, 2017 by Reporter Leave a Comment

After the long bearish ride in the silver, the initial bottom is formed near the critical support level at 16.09.The professional silver trader made a decent profit by riding the long bearish rally in the market. The global market has been facing an extreme level of uncertainty in the recent days and trading CFD has become extremely difficult as the investors don’t have any clear clue regarding the next movement of the mighty U.S dollar. The U.S dollar index has fallen sharply in the ground after Mr. Trump failed to keep his promise regarding fiscal spending and tax cut policy.

Technical analysis of silver in the 4 hour time frame

image

Figure: Silver heading towards the 17.35 level in the 4 hour time frame

From the above figure you can clearly see that the price has bottomed near 16.09 mark and after that, it has started its correction. The price has nicely retraced back above the 38.2 percent Fibonacci retracement level and now currently heading towards the 50 percent retracement level. The professional traders have been trading CFD with an extreme level of caution nowadays since the price of a commodity is now showing wild momentum in the market very often. However, the investors are not staying on the sideline rather they are making the best possible trade in the volatile market.

U.S economic conditions: The performance of the U.S economy is not that great in recent days as most of the leading investors are in doubt regarding the next movement of the green bucks. The green bucks have lost most of its bullish strength in the global market after Mr. Trump failed to keep his promise regarding the increase of fiscal spending and tax cut policy. According to the leading economist, the green bucks might face an extreme level of bearish pressure in the upcoming days as Mr. Trump administration has done very little for the welfare of the U.S economy and made trading CFD extremely difficult. The U.S dollar index which is the overall value of the green buck’s strength in the global market has dropped from its 14 years high in the global market and allowed the price of silver to rally higher. Despite such weak performance from the U.S economy, the optimistic dollar bulls are still in hope that the green bucks will be back again to its former glory upon the interest rate hike decision made by FED chairperson Janet Yellen.

Expectations in market movements: Though the price of silver is rallying higher with a strong bullish momentum in the global market most of the leading investors are thinking that the price will ultimately cap down by the 50 percent Fibonacci retracement level drawn on the daily chart. Moreover, the price has started showing exhaustion candle in the daily time frame which is a very clear indication that the bulls are running out of steam in the global market. Though the overall sentiment for the price of silver remains extremely bearish at the current moment a clear break of the 61.8 percent Fibonacci retracement level will confirm the initial bottom formation in the long term bearish trend in the market. To be precise this will inaugurate the fresh bullish trend in the price of silver which will ultimately dominate the market for at least couple of weeks.

Summary: The price of silver is now trading near a critical zone and the professional traders are cautiously waiting to short the silver to trade in favor of the long-term trend in the market. Though the market is exhibiting a tempting short opportunity the traders should be extremely careful since it might even start a fresh bullish trend in the upcoming weeks. So make sure when you execute the trades in the market you follow proper risk management factors to save your trading capital.

How Does Reverse Cycle Air Conditioning Works?

June 15, 2017 by Reporter Leave a Comment

clip_image002

https://pixabay.com/en/ice-cream-cone-melting-hot-1274894/ – Toshiba Carrier Air

A reverse cycle air conditioner is a great system as it both warms and cools your home. This means that not only will you be able to keep yourself cool during those hot Aussie summers, but you’ll also be able to keep yourself warm when winter rolls around.

Having a system that offers both options means only needing to invest in the one product. Whilst it can be a large investment at first, it will save you money down the line, and means you get to avoid purchasing bulky electric heaters or fans.

So how exactly does a reverse cycle air conditioner work? Read on as we break it down, so you can get a better understanding of how it both heats and cools your home.

How it heats your home

The system works by extracting the cool air from outside and bringing it inside. Once is has been brought in, the refrigerant (a cold liquid) is passed through an external coil, where it then absorbs the heat from the air.

The refrigerant, once it has absorbed the heat, is pumped by a compressor, down into a condenser. The process of compressing the refrigerant helps to warm it up to the desired temperature. By use of a fan, the air is pushed into the room, which heats the room up.

Once the process is completed, and the hot air is being pumped into the room, the refrigerant is taken back down through an evaporator where it is cooled back down, before it is pumped back to the condenser to repeat the process.

How it cools your home

The process is completely identical when it comes to cooling your home. The only difference is that cold air is blown into your home, which means the process is simply reversed. So rather than the refrigerant warming up the air, instead it cools it down.

This is great because you don’t need to buy two systems to do both processes for you. The one reverse cycle air conditioner will do both, with no extra hassle to you.

Inverter technology

It is becoming increasingly popular to see inverter technology within reverse system air conditioners. Inverter technology allows the air conditioners to adjust the power to reach the desired room temperature and maintain it. This is in contrast to traditional models that just have an on/off button, and this therefore makes the system far more efficient.

This also helps the air conditioner to be more economical, as it reaches the desired temperature far quicker than conventional methods, and reduces the need to keep turning the air conditioner on and off.

Flicking the Switch – 5 Easy Office Additions to Simplify the Workplace Experience

March 29, 2017 by Reporter Leave a Comment

office work space

Think of all the time we spend in our working environments.

Most people in full-time employment spend 38-40 hours at work per week. If you were to add that up for every week of the year (and factor in 4 weeks of annual leave per year), you’d get 1,824 hours per year. That’s a lot of time to be spending in a complex, unhappy workplace.

If you’re looking to enrich, simplify and brighten your working days, look no further. Here are 5 ideas for easy additions to your office to help keep your daily grind more manageable.

Upgrading Your Technology

One of the most challenging and overly complex parts of many modern workplaces is the (often archaic) and convoluted technologies we have to work with. Forward-thinking workplaces are adopting smarter, easily integrated technologies, like VOIP ( try Commander Centre VoIP Phone Systems) which allows workers to communicate instantly with the use of voice, over a safe, stable internet connection.

This eliminates some of the haziness of email communication and the constant back-and-forth emailing can bring.

Bring The Outside In

This might sound counter intuitive, but bringing a little bit of the outside world into your workplace can create a mood of lightness, brightness and calm.

Q: How can a workplace bring in the outside world?

A: Plants. Indoor plants can add vibrancy and much needed fresh air to an otherwise dull and grey working environment. Plants remind of of our connection to the outside world, and they are great for creating transitions between employee work spaces (rather than bland partitions and doors).

The inclusion of plants in our workplaces is also thought to add to our productivity – welcome news for both employers and employees!

Breaking Out

A fun and varied workplace environment encourages colleagues to congregate and feel at ease in their surroundings, and it can also create a further sense of calm (see above).

Create spaces within spaces at your workplace; like an area for relaxing with a coffee, or for lunch-breaks. If you have the room and the resources, add an area with games (table tennis, table soccer, air hockey). Some other less-noisy (and costly) ideas include adding a craft area (with basic supplies like magazines, glue, scissors and paint for scrapbooking) and providing a coffee machine. A well caffeinated workplace is a well-working (and fast working) workplace! It’s a ‘daily grind’ you can really get behind.

Encouraging employees to use these little spaces also reduces the time spent outside of the working environment, which can add to overall business productivity. It also encourages creativity in the workplace, and provides an outlet for stress relief.

Keep A Central Portal

Another simple (often overlooked) factor in creating a simplified, happy workplace, is to have an easily available employee portal, like an ‘intranet’ site. These are one-stop-shops for employee information, contact numbers, and important HR/Payroll notices. Referring employees to a company intranet site for information and important information is much easier, and much more reliable than individually disseminating information.

Light & Easy

Another so-simple solution to workplace doldrums, is the introduction of ambient and bespoke lighting.

To achieve this, place lamps, lanterns, and other devices which distribute and diffuse light (in more pleasant ways than traditional fluorescent tube lights) across the workplace accordingly. An added benefit to doing this, is that it can modernise and redecorate a tired workplace. Win, win!

—

There are many cost effective and easy solutions to the myriad complexities of workplace life.

Armed with some of the fixes above, you will hopefully have a better understanding of how to introduce calm and simplicity into your working environment.

Here are some tips you can follow to find a mechanical engineering job in Australia and take your career to the next level.

Offered by a number of companies today, mechanical engineering graduate programs are the perfect way to start your career. The duration of these programs is one to two years and you can apply for them by visiting job boards or attending university career expos. Also, a good resource for graduates is the Engineers Australia website.

Think outside of the box

While you went to university to study mechanical engineering, you should be ready and willing to take on job responsibilities that aren’t your forte. Knowledge of certain software and electronic components is an unstated prerequisite for landing a mechanical engineering job today. For this reason, you should find out about and learn the basics of disciplines related to mechanical engineering.

Stay in touch with your Alma matter

Your Alma matter i.e. the university you attended can help you to increase your networking reach and find a ‘decent-paying’ job. Therefore, keeping in touch with the faculty and staff at your university even after you graduate is important.

Finding a mechanical engineering job in Australia is easy but only if you follow the steps that guarantee employment. By following the aforementioned tips, you’ll be able to find a mechanical engineering job in Australia and take your career to the next level.

Australia vs. India Test Series: Preview and Predictions

February 22, 2017 by Reporter Leave a Comment

sports news australia vs india

Australia, the reigning ODI champions are set to play India, the number one test team, in a test match that begins on Thursday, February 23 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune, India. The match starting Friday is part of a four match test series that will be played between February 23 and March 29. Australia’s recent performances have been a bit of a mixed bag. They lost to New Zealand in a recently concluded ODI series but dismantled Pakistan in a one-day and a test series played in December and January. Recent games between the aforementioned teams point towards an Aussie win. Though, the last time the baggy greens played India, they were comprehensively beaten.

Talking about the home team, India has lost only one test series to Australia at home since 1967. The last time the Aussies managed to win a test series in India was way back in 2004-05. Since then, the two teams have played ten tests against each other on Indian soil. Of those 10 matches, India has won 8 while 2 matches have ended in draw. This clearly shows that India has the edge going into the series. Correctly predicting the winner of a cricket game is never easy. However, by considering bluebet tweets and the recent performances of the players involved in the aforementioned series, you can get a fair idea of who’s likely to win the test series between Australia and India.

The visitors are well led by the enigmatic and every buzzing Virat Kohli. Against Australia, the Indian skipper averages over 50 with the bat in both tests and ODIs so stopping him from running havoc would be a real challenge for the visitors. Apart from Kohli, spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is a player the Australian team needs to be wary of. The number one bowler in test, Ashwin has always performed well against the Aussies.

The Australian team that will take the field on February 23 features many heavyweights including David Warner, Steven Smith, and Mitchell Starc. In Tests, Warner averages just under- 50 and has a phenomenal test strike rate of 80. Australia’s bowling ace, Starc is one of most lethal bowlers in the world. Starc has a test bowling average of 28 and has taken 143 test wickets. Additionally, he is a pretty handy batsman as he averages 24 and has a highest score of 99. Finally, we come to Steven Smith, the captain of the Australian team. An outstanding batsman, Smith has a test batting average of 60. In just 30 matches, the Aussie skipper has scored over 4500 runs.

The series between Australia and India that begins February 23 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium is expected to be closely contested. Most experts are predicting an Indian win but nobody knows for sure what will happen. By considering the recent performances of the players involved in the game, you can also put forth your prediction. Who knows you might just win the lottery!
